I fell in love with this blue Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe. As one picture never could illustrate its real beauty, I took a bunch of pictures in different settings to show the true blue of this Blancpain. Simply stunning!

I presented you this Blancpain novelty already the 16th March, two days before the doors of Baselworld 2016 opened. At that time I did of course not have any live taken pictures since I had not seen the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe in real. In Basel I took some time and I made a bunch of pictures under different lighting conditions and backgrounds. My intention was to show you the true beauty of this diver. Depending on the light and the angle you look on it the watch looks different. I hope these 25 pictures give you an impression of the blue.
Guys I can’t get enough of it. The new Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe simply is a stunning beauty!
This young lady looks stunning in her blue dress, will get plenty of proposals for marriage but the man need lot money to get a yes.
Stunning isn’t it. I agree. But isn’t 50 fathoms, 300′, so 100m waterproof.
Paul,
The watch case is marked 30 Bar…..This will be approximately 300 meters/meters, approximately 1000 feet water resistance.
Regards,
Mike
Thanks Mike. I looked up the history of the 50 fathoms and I see now.
But my blue-faced 16618 has its 300m on the front and that’s where I would prefer to see the 30 bar on the Blancpain.
That’s passion! I like your passion even more than the watch itself. But in some of your pictures I really like the looks of this watch. The ceramic case looks like brushed steel or titanium.
The last time you went so crazy about a blue dive watch it took me three times to see it in the metal before I had to have it. Let’s see what will happen with this one. 🙂
